The fancy porta-potties arrived, the wedding wig was properly styled, the helicopters hovered overhead, the post-wedding jumpsuit was revealed, Kandi Burruss sang "Fly Above," and Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann became Mr. and Mrs. -- all in eight short weeks of planning on "Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding." Of course, there was one wee bit of drama on Thursday's (June 14) Season 1 finale: Kim's mama, Karen, got booted from the wedding for demanding to use the bathroom inside and saying she'd burn the house down (?!). Tension had been building between Kim and Karen throughout the wedding planning with Kim even excluding her mom from a meeting with wedding designer Colin Cowie and Karen missing a dress fitting and threatening to miss the wedding. So it shouldn't be a huge surprise that once a few cocktails got into the mix that some mama drama came into play.
Kim's mom and her mom's sister refuse to use the fancy porta-potties Kim picked out for the big day. Kim and Kroy had been super-clear that no one -- not family, not friends, not anyone -- would be allowed in the house where baby K.J. was sleeping during the reception. But Kim's mom thought this didn't apply to her. When she threatens to get physical with security and "bring the house down" if they don't let her in, Kroy and Kim step in, leading Karen to throw a "f--- you!" at her new son-in-law.
That's the final straw for the newly betrothed couple, and Karen is eventually ejected from the festivities.
